Edcamp Personalize DISD is a free event for teachers that delivers learning opportunities for educators that are spontaneous without pre-organized sessions or content. Any attendee can schedule a session to present based upon the input from all attendees.
This event is about honoring the work, so whether a participant has been involved with personalized learning from the beginning or just starting their first year, anyone who attends is eligible to present. As anyone can host a session, it is equally as important that participants actively self-select the best content and sessions.
Edcamp Personalize DISD utilizes the “law of two feet” which encourages participants to find a session that meets their needs. Edcampers should leave sessions that do not meet their needs. The “law of two feet” will also eliminate sessions that do not meet the interests/needs of participants. The goal of Edcamp Personalize DISD is to provide teachers within our district a space and process for learning, growing, connecting, and sharing the knowledge and skills necessary for personalized learning. |
